Our Shipping Information

Age Requirement If you place an order from the FRIARTUCKONLINE website you are representing to us that you are at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is also at least 21 years old.  All packages sent out by Friar Tuck will require an Adult Signature at the time of delivery. We strongly recommended you choose to ship to a business address or an address where there will be someone to sign for the package during normal business hours. Fed Ex will make 3 attempts to deliver to you and on the third failed attempt the product will be returned to FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM.  FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM will asses a 15% restocking charge and refund the balance of the order charge, less shipping charges, to you.  You may place a reorder at that time.

Delivery states and locations:  Sadly many states restrict interstate delivery of wine and spirits. FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM  will only ship distilled spirits within the the borders of the state of Illinois.  FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM does not ship beer, cider or malt beverages. Wine shipments vary by state and zip code. As of this date Fed Ex will ship alcohol to some regions of the following states: Illinois, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Idaho, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming. To determine if you can receive wine shipments in your local zip code from FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM add an item to your cart and go to checkout, there you will be asked to enter your zip code. Our system will indicate if FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM is allowed to deliver to your location.  Be aware--the vast majority of states restrict wine delivery to their residents from out-of-state retailers.

Transfer of Ownership: Title to and ownership of all wines and spirits passes from to the purchaser in the the State of Illinois and the purchaser takes sole responsibility for the shipping from Illinois to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the wine, FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM is providing a service, and acting on behalf of you, the purchaser. By utilizing this service from FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM  the purchaser represents that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered. FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of Illinois.


Destination address:  FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM cannot and will not ship any product to PO Boxes or APO addresses.

Returns: Customers may return product at their discretion provided the product is sealed, unopened and returned in the original shipping box.  All return shipping charges are borne by the original buyer.  The returned product will be subject to a 15% restocking charge.

FREE SHIPPING orders:   For wines designated as FREE SHIPPING orders must be at least 12 bottles and additonal bottles must be in multiples of 12 to qualify for no charge shipping. 

Return of "FREE SHIPPING" orders:  Refused or returned FREE SHIPPING orders will be assessed a 35% restocking charge.

Out of Stock Items:  Please take special note, if an item in your order is both out of stock at our facility as well as our distributor/importer, the shipping department will ship the remainder of your order and credit back the amount of the out of stock items.


SPECIAL WEATHER NOTE: We cannot know the route the common carriers will take to deliver your wine from Illinois to your location. During exceptionally warm or cold periods we suggest that you delay your order for more clement days or weeks. FRIARTUCKONLINE.COM will not refund any amount for frozen, freeze damaged or heat damaged products.  If it's too warm or too cold in your region when you place your order we'll be happy to hold your wine until conditions are right for you to have it shipped. We offer this service at no additional charge and will hold it for up to six months. To notify us of your request indicate in the Special Instructions message box at checkout that you would like the product held until moderate weather conditions prevail.
