The 2014 Tonel 46 Malbec is produced, like all the wines from Los Toneles, from their estate vineyard in the zone of Los Chacayes in Tunuyán in the Uco Valley. The difference between this and the Very Rouge that sells for the same price is that this is matured in second use French oak barrels. But I find more complexity and depth here, floral aromas and a touch of spices that make it very attractive. The approachable palate has melted tannins and juicy fruit, balanced and soft. Some 40,000 bottles were filled one year and two months after the harvest..  Wine Advocate magazine. Review for 2014 vintage.
